Water Aid Pipeline Challenge

RaindropsOn Wednesday 20th May, children across the school went Blue for the day, to raise money for Water Aid! This was the charity our Grove Eco Warriors had chosen to support.

Earlier in the year a speaker from Water Aid visited us to tell us all about the work of the charity and the issues in countries where water was not clean or safe to drink.

Children from Reception up to year 6 made human pipelines and passed buckets of water along the line trying not to spill a drop! We didn’t waste the water as the pupil pipeline terminated in our school pond!

Thank you to all our children for making the event a big success and for FOGs donation of £30 from their after-school cake sale!   We raised an amazing £189.75!
