New Outdoor Area

Come and see our new outdoor area!

“Teachers, Governors and Parents have worked their socks off to make the outdoor learning environment in Reception a vibrant and stimulating place to learn.”

With a small team started in school by Mr Roberts, a plan was put together to transform the outdoor area in Reception. The first stage was to change the raised decking area in the corner by the playground and paint the decking with bright primary colours to give it the ‘WOW’ factor. The area now offers a range of beautiful multi-sensory plants, a new turfed area to play on, a mini-beast area for investigating, a planting area for vegetables, bird houses to attract wildlife and a beautiful seating area to share books with children!

The Grove Primary School and Nursery would like to say a special thanks to the people that came during the Easter holidays to make this happen! A special thank you to all the companies that donated materials and man-power, especially Dulux which provided all the paint for the Reception outdoor area and the KS1 playground.

The children said…

“It looks like a new playground, we love it!”

Please enjoy the pictures in our gallery to see all the hard work! This is also just the start of the re-development of the school. If you would like to become more involved in the changes at the Grove then please enquire at the school office. Many hands make light work
